What constitutes a great round of golf?  What was your best round of golf?  That question has really evolved for me over time and I must say that what it means today is very different than what it meant for me as a teenager.  I’m thinking specifically of a Father-Son outing for the high school golf team that turned out to be an utter blast.

My dad is not a golfer and never really liked all of the protocol and show, I was admittedly a little embarrassed to get out there and play with him.  But, he would go out and play with me.  And on this particular day, we were playing at the country club where the team practiced and we played in a scramble format.  We weren’t great – but we were respectable and had a blast together.  I decided I wasn’t going to care a whole lot about much of anything and simply enjoy the time with my dad.  And I most certainly did. To this day it qualifies as one of my best rounds of golf.

And for you?

What an addicting game!!
Yes, the game of golf is addicting and the quest for a better game can be consuming. So how does one get game with no time (family, job) and no money (family, job). That's what Reaching Par is all about - the quest for a better game without alienating the wife and kids or destroying the family budget
